Program Studi Arsitektur BINUS University didirikan pada tahun 1997 dengan jumlah mahasiswa angkatan pertama sebanyak 25 orang, di bawah kepemimpinan Michael Tedja, Ir., MT. sebagai ketua jurusan pertama. Sejak awal pendiriannya, Program Studi Arsitektur BINUS dirancang untuk menyelenggarakan pendidikan arsitektur yang menekankan pada pengembangan kemampuan perancangan arsitektur, pemanfaatan teknologi informasi, serta penerapan prinsip keberlanjutan dalam lingkungan binaan. Kurikulum program studi disusun secara komprehensif untuk menghasilkan lulusan yang memiliki kompetensi akademik dan profesional sesuai dengan perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan, teknologi, serta kebutuhan industri arsitektur. Pada periode awal, lulusan Program Studi Arsitektur BINUS memperoleh gelar Sarjana Teknik (S.T.), yang kemudian disesuaikan dengan ketentuan nasional pendidikan arsitektur sehingga sejak lulusan tahun 2021 gelar yang diberikan adalah Sarjana Arsitektur (S.Ars.). Dalam perjalanannya, program studi ini telah mengalami penyesuaian struktur kelembagaan dan saat ini bernaung di bawah Faculty of Engineering, serta didukung oleh fasilitas pembelajaran berupa studio arsitektur dan sistem pembelajaran digital BINUS Maya. Program Studi Arsitektur BINUS juga didukung oleh organisasi kemahasiswaan HIMARS yang berdiri sejak tahun 1998. Sebagai wujud peningkatan mutu berkelanjutan, pada tahun 2025 Program Studi Arsitektur BINUS memperoleh status akreditasi Unggul, serta memperkuat jalur profesional melalui penyelenggaraan Program Pendidikan Profesi Arsitek (PPAr).

The Architecture Study Program of BINUS University was established in 1997 with an initial cohort of 25 students, under the leadership of Michael Tedja, Ir., MT. as the first Head of the Department. Since its establishment, the Architecture Study Program has been designed to deliver architectural education with a strong emphasis on architectural design, the application of information technology, and the principles of sustainability within the built environment. The curriculum is comprehensively structured to produce graduates with solid academic and professional competencies in response to developments in science, technology, and the architectural industry. In its early years, graduates of the program were awarded the degree Bachelor of Engineering (S.T.); however, in accordance with national regulations on architectural education, the degree designation was revised, and since the 2021 graduating cohort, graduates have been awarded the degree Bachelor of Architecture (S.Ars.). Over the course of its development, the program has undergone several organizational restructurings and is currently administered under the Faculty of Engineering. The Architecture Study Program is supported by architectural design studios, the BINUS Maya digital learning system, and a student organization, HIMARS, which was established in 1998. As part of its continuous quality improvement efforts, in 2025 the Architecture Study Program achieved “Excellent” (Unggul) accreditation status and further strengthened its professional pathway through the implementation of the Professional Architect Education Program (PPAr).
